Once you apply, your channel will go through a standard review process to see whether your channel meets our policies and guidelines. Our automated systems and human reviewers will review your channel as a whole to make sure your channel follows all of our policies and guidelines. Keep in mind we continuously check channels in YPP to make sure they continue to meet our policies and guidelines over time. Once you qualify for the higher eligibility criteria for YPP, you will be eligible to receive a share of the revenue from ads served on your content.

Once you understand what you need to join, your channel can become eligible for YPP with either Shorts or long-form video. We also make sure the phone number is linked to no more than 2 channels per year. To verify your channel, you’ll be asked to enter a phone number.

Primetime channels

If you have active Community Guidelines strikes on your channel, you can apply after your strikes expire. As the YouTube Partner Program continues to grow, it’s important to maintain a healthy, active ecosystem of channels. If this isn’t your first application to be rejected, or you’ve previously re-applied, you can try again after a 90-day period. We’ll get back to you with a decision once your channel is reviewed (typically in about 1 month). Once done, you’ll see In Progress in the Get Reviewed step, which means we have your application! You’ll get an email once you’ve met either of the below eligibility thresholds.
